Methodology and Data Sources
How DentalStatics builds its top 5 dental clinic lists: HIRA and Naver Map data sources, candidate rules, ordering, tie-breaks and the walking-time formula.
Sources: Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) hospital information and detailed facility data as of 2026-09-14 (specialists, doctors, opening date, equipment), and Naver Map public listings checked 2026-09-15 to 2026-09-16 (hours, review counts, parking).
Candidates: clinics in the district, neighborhood, or within 500 m (800 m where clinics are sparse) of a subway station. Areas with fewer than 8 candidates get no list.
Order: a local ranking that looks at registered specialists, years in operation, visitor reviews, opening hours and online information together. Weights are not published. Ties are broken by specialist count, visitor reviews, then opening date.
Treatment and condition lists keep that order and only keep clinics that meet the criterion (for example, a registered orthodontics specialist). Lists with fewer than 5 matching clinics, or identical to another list in the same area, are not published.
Walking time is the straight-line distance multiplied by 1.3, walked at 67 m per minute.
